SERCOTEL TOGUMAR, Madrid

Sercotel Togumar sits in the Prosperidad neighbourhood, a quiet residential area with a safe, authentic feel. The nearest metro station (Prosperidad, line 4) is 300 metres away, providing direct access to the city centre in about 20 minutes and to Barajas Airport in 30-40 minutes. Bus line 9 also stops nearby and reaches Gran Vía in roughly 15 minutes. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and a 20-minute metro ride from IFEMA and the Juan Carlos I Exhibition Centre. Chamartín train station is about a 15-minute walk or a short metro ride. Several supermarkets, bakeries, cafés, and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. On-street parking is scarce and metered, making the on-site garage practical for car users.

All 71 units are studio-style apartments with a combined lounge-kitchen area, private bathroom with bath and bidet, and city views. Room sizes range from about 30-36 m2 for the Classic Triple Apartment to larger Family and Superior options. Each apartment includes a full kitchenette with an electric hob, microwave, fridge, and basic cookware - though some units lack a kettle or coffee machine (available on request at reception). Beds are consistently described as comfortable, and daily housekeeping is included. Some rooms have a safe with a key deposit (€10 refundable). The property's décor and fixtures are notably dated, with worn furniture, older bathroom fittings, and thin walls that offer limited soundproofing. Air conditioning effectiveness varies and may struggle during heatwaves; a fan can be requested at reception. No rooms have a private balcony. The building layout means some rooms are accessed via an external walkway, which can be less convenient in poor weather.

Breakfast is served in a compact dining room Monday-Friday from 07:15 to 10:30, and weekends/holidays from 08:00 to 11:30. The buffet includes hot items (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages), bread, pastries, churros, fresh fruit, cereals, a Jura coffee machine, and gluten-free bread on request. Seating can be limited during peak times, especially on weekends. Breakfast is available for an additional charge of €13 per person. There is no full-service restaurant or bar on-site. A coffee shop operates within the hotel for basic drinks. Several nearby cafés, bakeries, and casual restaurants (including churrerías and tapas bars) are a 3-5 minute walk away, and supermarkets (Mercadona, Lidl, Carrefour) are within the same distance for self-catering supplies.

Reception is staffed 24 hours, allowing late arrivals and early departures. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Daily housekeeping is included and generally well-regarded. A self-service laundry (washing and drying) is available for an additional charge, along with ironing and dry-cleaning services. Luggage storage is free, and guests can leave bags after check-out. A small business centre with computers is provided. Cots for babies are available at no extra cost. Paid services include: on-site parking (€21/night, no advance reservation), late check-out (€20-22 depending on time), and pet stay (€20/night per dog, up to 7 kg, one per room). The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle or taxi booking service. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Diners Club, and MasterCard.
