For those who prefer to walk, the centre is a pleasant 30-minute stroll along the Vltava river. Several cafés, restaurants (Asian, vegetarian, traditional Czech), and supermarkets are within a 5-minute walk. The hostel offers a secure covered bike rack in the garden for cyclists. The location is practical for reaching the city quickly by tram, but the neighbourhood itself is not a nightlife hub.

Room types include private double/twin/triple rooms (some with kitchenette), 6-bed dorms with single beds, and 12-bed dorms with triple-deck bunk beds. Both mixed and female-only dorms are offered. Private rooms have a private bathroom; dorms may have either private or shared bathrooms - select carefully when booking. Some units feature a sofa, a small fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities. Noise can be an issue in certain rooms, particularly those near shared bathrooms or facing the street. The 12-bed dorms have triple-level bunks; the top bunk is very high and may be challenging to access. The 6-bed dorms are preferred for comfort and lower noise. The building has an elevator that stops between floors (not directly on every landing). No rooms have balconies.

Breakfast is a continental buffet with bread, cheese, ham, cereals, fruit, and hot drinks. It is not included in the room rate and can be purchased at the bar. The shared kitchen on the ground floor is open 24/7 and equipped for cooking your own meals. The pub in the basement is a social hub offering Czech beer, wine, and occasional events. A weekly barbecue is held in the garden during warmer months. The hostel does not have a restaurant, so most lunch/dinner options are from nearby eateries (Asian, vegetarian, traditional Czech) within 5 minutes' walk.
