Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port is 2 km away and FLL Airport is 7 km - ride-share costs roughly $10 and $20 respectively, as there is no hotel shuttle. Restaurants like Lulu's Bait Shack, Casablanca Cafe, and Burlock Coast are within a 5-minute walk, as is a CVS for groceries and sundries. Las Olas Boulevard, with its shopping and dining, is about 2 km south. The area is safe and walkable for daytime and evening exploring, though the street can be loud at night; rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.

Room choices include standard king, double queen, kitchenette suites, and a dormitory room. Kitchenette rooms are spacious (roughly twice the size of a standard king) and include a microwave, toaster, dining area, cookware, dishes, and silverware. Ocean-view rooms overlook the beach, while rooms at the back are quieter and overlook other buildings. The dormitory room has basic cable TV and air conditioning. All rooms offer air conditioning, heating, tea/coffee facilities, a sitting area, and a flat-screen TV. While some compact standard rooms have a wall rack instead of a closet, larger suites offer ample storage. The property is older and has an intentionally retro, beachy feel; soundproofing between rooms and windows can be limited, so street-facing rooms may hear A1A traffic at night.

The hotel has no dining facilities of its own, but the adjoining Casablanca Cafe is a popular spot serving American fare from morning through evening, including daily happy hour until 7pm. For quick coffee, a Starbucks is a 2-minute walk away, and a CVS a block away for groceries. Within a 5-10 minute walk along A1A and Las Olas Boulevard, guests find casual bites (Lulu's Bait Shack, Hooters), mid-range options (Burlock Coast, El Vez), and lively bars. The kitchenette rooms are suitable for preparing simple meals; the rooftop and 2nd floor terraces are pleasant spots for self-made breakfast or drinks.

The hotel's primary leisure assets are its two shared terraces: a spacious 5th-floor rooftop with sun loungers and cabana seating, and a 2nd floor balcony with Adirondack chairs looking directly over the beach and ocean. The rooftop closes at 10pm due to city noise ordinance; the lower terrace is open later. Free beach equipment - chairs, umbrellas, towels, sunscreen, boogie boards, inner tubes, coolers - is available for checkout. The beach itself is right across the street, and an outdoor shower on the ground floor lets guests rinse off sand. Snorkeling, diving, and cycling are all available in the area (equipment not provided).
