The hotel is situated in San Diego's Sorrento Mesa, adjacent to the I-805 and I-15 freeways, making it a convenient base for business travellers and commuters. La Jolla shopping and dining are within a 20-minute drive, and major attractions like Torrey Pines State Beach, SeaWorld, and the San Diego Zoo are easily reached by car. Several restaurants, fast-food outlets, and an Aldi grocery store are within walking distance. The property sits next to a gas station and a car wash, which can produce noise - rooms on the opposite side of the building are quieter. Most San Diego sights are 20-30 minutes by car.

All suites feature a fully equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, pots, pans, utensils, and plates. Living areas include a sofa bed (pull-out sleeper with linens) and a 55-inch flat-screen TV. One-bedroom suites offer a privacy door between the bedroom and living room, plus a second TV in the living area. Two-bedroom suites include two separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and a pull-out couch in the living room. Rooms have air conditioning, heating, a desk, and dining space. Bathrooms are private with a tub/shower; ADA-accessible rooms feature a roll-in shower. No rooms have a balcony. The hotel has a lift, and all suites are non-smoking. Some rooms may show signs of wear on furniture or door bottoms, but recent renovations have modernised the interior.

Breakfast runs from 6:30-8:30 on weekdays and 7:30-9:30 on weekends. The expanded buffet includes an interactive pancake maker, a build-your-own breakfast taco/burrito/bowl station, Kellogg's cereals, oatmeal, granola, yoghurt, fresh fruit, baked goods, and a selection of coffees, teas, hot chocolate, and juices. The breakfast area is staffed and kept well-stocked. For lunch and dinner, there is no restaurant on-site, but the front desk can recommend nearby restaurants; many offer take-out, delivery, or full table service within walking distance. An outdoor BBQ grill is available for free guest use.

The heated pool is open all year with sun loungers, umbrellas, and pool towels provided. The 24-hour fitness centre offers cardio and strength equipment, and the property also has a shared lounge/TV area and outdoor spaces with picnic tables, a garden, and a fire pit.
