SOTETSU FRESA INN UENO-OKACHIMACHI, Tokyo

The hotel sits between Okachimachi (JR Yamanote, Oedo line) and Ueno-Hirokoji (Ginza line) stations, about 30 seconds to a 5-minute walk depending on the entrance. The Yamanote line reaches Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station without transfers; the Ginza line runs directly to Asakusa. Keisei Ueno is a 5-minute walk, offering a direct 45-minute train to Narita Airport. Ueno Park, the zoo, museums, and Ameyoko shopping street are within a 5-10-minute walk. The surrounding area is packed with convenience stores, restaurants, and shops, though a few maid bars are also present.

The American breakfast costs 1200 JPY and includes a choice of three sets (e.g., bread, egg, salad, meat option) plus one drink (coffee, tea, or juice). The selection is limited and considered basic by many. The surrounding area has numerous cafés, ramen shops, and izakayas, including a 24-hour convenience store across the street. The on-site restaurant Cababre operates for lunch and dinner with European cuisine in a modern setting.

The front desk operates 24 hours, with English, Japanese, and Chinese spoken. Luggage can be stored free of charge on the check-in day and on the check-out day (same day only). Long-term storage between split stays is possible if both reservations are confirmed. Luggage forwarding to the next hotel is available (cash-on-delivery), and the hotel partners with Airporter for Tokyo-area deliveries. The lobby offers free amenities: tea, coffee, face masks, bath salts, skincare samples, and pajamas. The hotel has a lift (no stairs), key-card access, 24-hour security, and CCTV. No pets are allowed. Payment can be made by major credit cards. A fax/photocopying service and dry cleaning/laundry are available for an additional charge.
