SURESTAY PLUS HOTEL BY BEST WESTERN SACRAMENTO NORTH, Sacramento

The hotel is situated in an area with a noticeable homeless population near the entrance, but the property itself is gated and patrolled 24/7 for safety. It offers excellent freeway access, making it a 5-minute drive to the Golden 1 Center and 3 km from Sutter Health Park. Discovery Park is a 1-minute walk away, providing a riverside setting for walks. For dining, a Denny's is immediately next door, and a McDonald's and gas station are across the street. The surrounding neighborhood has a mix of transients and drug activity, which makes the gated lot and on-site security essential for a comfortable stay.

Breakfast is available from 6:30-9:30 AM on weekdays and 7:00-10:00 AM on weekends. The menu is a full buffet with hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage patties, country potatoes, and a waffle station, plus cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, and fruit. The breakfast room can get busy, and popular items may run out quickly, especially on weekends. Taking food back to rooms is prohibited, and a ticket system is enforced to manage the flow. There is no on-site restaurant; the nearest dining options are Denny's next door and McDonald's across the street.

The pool is open during the warmer months and has been described as clean by some, though others have reported it as dirty or with algae. The shallow end makes it suitable for children. The hot tub/jacuzzi is not operational. Pool towels are available at the front desk. There is no gym, sauna, or other leisure facilities on site. The property has a garden area, which can be a pleasant spot to relax.

The front desk operates 24/7 and can assist with express check-in. A night security guard patrols the property, and the parking lot is gated with a code entry, which is a significant safety feature. Housekeeping services are available daily but may require a request for fresh towels; room servicing is not automatic. Luggage storage is available. The property accepts AAA discounts. The meeting/banquet facilities are available for a surcharge. There is no laundry facility, no airport shuttle, and no business center, though the front desk can assist with printing needs.
