MOXY SEATTLE DOWNTOWN, Seattle

Located in the city center, Moxy Seattle Downtown is 1 km from the Museum of Pop Culture and a 17-minute walk from Westlake Center. Seattle Lake Union Seaplane Base is just 1 km away. The area is filled with over a dozen restaurants, bars, and cafes within a 0.5 km radius, including Cactus, Veggie Grill, and Serioius Pie & Biscuit. Public transit is easily accessible, and the neighborhood is well-lit and safe for evening strolls. For those driving, on-street parking and nearby Amazon garages offer options, though the hotel has no dedicated parking. The location is ideal for Amazon campus visitors and cruise passengers, with the port 2 km away.

Rooms are intentionally small-often described as similar to European hotel or hostel-style sizing-with no closets, dressers, or desk. Clothes hang on wall hooks, and luggage must be stored on the floor, making it challenging for two people to unpack simultaneously. Each room includes air conditioning, hypoallergenic bedding, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a private bathroom with a hairdryer, and a safe deposit box. Noise can be an issue: street-facing rooms hear garbage trucks and sirens, interior rooms are quieter, and thin walls mean you may hear neighboring showers or conversations. The air conditioning units may struggle in hot weather and have been reported to fail; the thermostat cannot be set below 18 °C, and windows do not open. Bed firmness is a frequent point: mattresses are very firm, pillows are thin, and some find the bed uncomfortable for side sleeping. An alarm clock, heating, and a work desk are provided, but no mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, or iron are included in the room (coffee machines are available from the lobby bar). The shower door may not seal properly, and the bathroom layout can leave the toilet visible through frosted glass. The shower pressure is good, and the room is generally clean and modern in style.

The lobby bar serves breakfast from morning until 10:00 AM, with items ranging from toast and egg sandwiches to continental pastries. Coffee (filter and espresso) is included on the free drink token at check-in, but vegetable milk is not available for espresso. The breakfast menu is limited to what can be prepared behind the bar, with no full restaurant or hot buffet. Many nearby cafes (e.g., Specialtys Cafe and Bakery, Top Pot Doughnuts) are within a 3-minute walk and offer a wider variety. The bar operates from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, serving cocktails, draft beer, and bar snacks like wings. Food service after 10:00 PM is not available. The free drink token can be redeemed for a batched cocktail, espresso, or hot chocolate, and is available per person per night.

The gym has treadmills, a bike, weight machines, and dumbbells-sufficient for a solid workout, though some have noted the bike is an older model. The lobby offers board games, a foosball table, Jenga, and a projector screen for watching TV or events, creating a social, homey atmosphere. No pool, spa, or sauna is present. The area is walkable to Lake Union for jogging or boating, and the Space Needle is a 10-minute walk away.
