THE BARRYMORE HOTEL TAMPA RIVERWALK, Tampa

The hotel sits in the Downtown River Arts District, directly opposite the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and adjacent to the Tampa Riverwalk. The Tampa Convention Center, Amalie Arena, and historic Ybor City are all within 2 km. Tampa International Airport is about 8 km away and roughly a 10-minute drive without traffic. The property offers a free shuttle that covers destinations within a 3 km radius, making car-free exploration of downtown, the cruise port, and nearby attractions straightforward. Several restaurants, bars, and parks - including Curtis Hixon Park and Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park - are within walking distance, and the Riverwalk provides a scenic route for jogging or strolling.

Guest rooms feature plush pillow-top beds, a work desk with lamp, and a mini-fridge and microwave. Bathrooms are newly renovated with modern finishes, and all rooms include a coffee maker, ironing board, and free Wi-Fi. Some suites have a kitchen. Rooms are non-smoking, and a limited number are wheelchair accessible with roll-in showers and grab bars. Carpeted floors and interior corridors help reduce hallway noise, but soundproofing between rooms and from the street can be limited. Travelers sensitive to noise may prefer a higher floor or rooms away from the main road. Rooms with river views are available on the rear side of the building.

The on-site restaurant, Gaudin Kitchen & Bar, is open daily: breakfast from 7:00 to 11:00, dinner from 16:00 to 22:00, and the bar until 23:00. Breakfast is a-la-carte and not included in the room rate. Dinner options include pizza, steaks, and seafood, with a full bar. Barry's Market in the lobby sells cold sandwiches, breakfast items, bottled drinks, ice cream, and frozen meals for quick meals. The restaurant's breakfast service can be slow at peak times, so allow extra time if dining before an early appointment. Several restaurants - including Fly Bar, Maestro's, Ulele, and Duckweed - are within a 10-minute walk.

The outdoor pool is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, with towels provided. It is fenced and larger than typical hotel pools. To reach the pool, guests must exit the lobby and walk around outside the main building. The fitness center is open 24 hours and includes basic cardio and strength equipment. The Tampa Riverwalk is directly across the road, offering a safe, scenic route for jogging, cycling, or walking. Nearby parks include Curtis Hixon Park (0.5 km) and Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park (1 km), both with dog-friendly areas. There is no spa on-site.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The complimentary shuttle operates daily from 7:00 to 23:00 and covers a 3 km radius - including the cruise port, Tampa Convention Center, and Amalie Arena. Self-service laundry is free for guests. The hotel also offers luggage storage, a business center, and over 500 m² of flexible meeting and event space. The ballroom and outdoor pool deck can be used for weddings or receptions. Parking costs $10 per night for overnight guests and $20 per day for event-only parking; reservations are not needed.
