CLEARWATER BEACH HOTEL, Clearwater Beach

The hotel sits on a busy corner at the south end of Clearwater Beach, providing direct access to the beach (about a 4-5 minute walk), as well as to Pier 60 (2 km away) and Clearwater Marine Aquarium (3 km). Sand Key Park is a 3-minute drive. The area is very walkable, with numerous dining and entertainment options within a 5-minute stroll, including Jimmy's Fish House, Shephard's Tiki Beach Bar, and Coneheads. Tampa International Airport is a 30-minute drive; an airport shuttle is not available, but public transport and taxi services serve the route. Traffic noise from the intersection can be noticeable, especially for road-facing rooms.

Accommodation ranges from standard double rooms with one or two queen/double beds to one-bedroom suites with a separate living area. Standard features include air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, a desk, and a private bathroom. Rooms with a harbor view (queen bed) are on floors 3-5; no rooms face the Gulf. Junior suites and one-bedroom suites offer outdoor sitting areas (shared walkway, not private balconies) and kitchenettes with a microwave, mini-fridge, and sink (no stove, but a hot plate is available on request). Some suites have a sofa bed. The property is older and basic, with rooms noted at times for worn furniture, loose electrical outlets, and dated fixtures. Road-facing rooms can be noisy due to traffic.

The hotel does not offer breakfast or any food venues on the property. Guests can use the in-room coffee maker or the lobby's Keurig for hot drinks. Numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes are within a 5-minute walk, providing a wide range of dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. An ice cream shop is located adjacent to the pool area.

Two outdoor pools are available: one in the main five-story building and another across the street in the suites building. Both pools are heated, have a shallow end, and offer pool/beach towels. The pools are open from 7 AM to 10 PM. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and a picnic area with BBQ facilities are provided. There is no spa, jacuzzi, or gym. The pool areas are a central gathering spot, and the adjacent ice cream shop adds family-friendly appeal. Note that the pools are seasonal only in the sense of being open all year; one pool may occasionally close for maintenance.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, a safety deposit box, and an ATM. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is included, and laundry service is offered for an additional charge. The hotel has two elevators in the main building; the suites building has no elevator (only two floors). Accessible parking and wheelchair-accessible rooms (with two double beds on the first floor) are available. The property is smoke-free, with designated outdoor smoking areas. Security features include key card access, CCTV, and smoke alarms. On-site private parking costs $15 per day (plus tax) and must be reserved; only one vehicle per room is guaranteed.
