UNIVERSAL'S CABANA BAY BEACH RESORT, Orlando

The resort is situated right next to Volcano Bay, with a scenic garden path for walking (approximately 25 minutes to CityWalk) or complimentary shuttle buses running every 15 minutes. The location is ideal for park-goers, offering easy access to all four Universal Orlando theme parks and the dining/entertainment complex. Orlando International Airport is 20-30 minutes away by car; no airport shuttle is available. For those with rental cars, on-site parking is available for $26/night. The area is walkable to Volcano Bay, but for other parks, the shuttle is recommended.

All rooms feature a 40-inch flat-screen TV, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, and air conditioning. Family suites are 40 m² with a kitchenette (microwave, sink, fridge), a living area with pull-out sofa, and an extra-large bathroom designed for three people to use simultaneously. Some rooms offer pool or Volcano Bay views. Note: no balconies are available. Standard rooms are 28 m² with two queen beds. Request a room in the Continental building (interior hallway) for quieter sleep, or a poolside suite for easy access to amenities. Some rooms show wear and tear; beds are firm but comfortable. Housekeeping is every other day. For families, a suite with kitchenette allows meal prep and storage.

Bayliner Diner offers a food court with stations for deli, international, pizza, burgers, salads, and desserts - open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Galaxy Bowl Restaurant serves casual American fare in the bowling alley. Starbucks is in the lobby. Poolside options: Atomic Tonic (Cabana Courtyard) and The Hideaway Bar & Grille (Lazy River Courtyard) offer cocktails, sandwiches, and snacks. Delizioso Pizza delivers to rooms. Breakfast is not included in the room rate. The food court has a 'Grab and Go' area for snacks and drinks. Refillable mugs are available for purchase for soda and ICEE drinks.

The resort features two massive pools: Cabana Pool with zero-entry sand beach, interactive water play area, and dive-tower-themed waterslide; and Lazy River Courtyard pool with a lazy river (tubes available for purchase), two fire pits, and poolside bar. Both pools are heated year-round (82-29.4 °C) but close when the ambient temperature drops below 10.0 °C. Poolside cabanas are available for rent. Galaxy Bowl offers 10 lanes of bowling (fees apply) with a table-service restaurant. Game-O-Rama arcade, outdoor billiards, chess, and movie nights are also available. The Jack LaLanne Fitness Studio is complimentary. The lazy river is a family favorite.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and public spaces. Shuttle buses to Universal CityWalk and parks run every 15 minutes; no transportation to Disney. Parking is $26/night. Electric vehicle charging stations are available. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, luggage storage, and lockers. Laundry rooms are in each building.
