THE BURBANK ROSE INN, Newport

The inn sits in the heart of Newport's historic district, rated 9.7 for location. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is 600 metres away, and Rosecliff Mansion is 1 km. The Preservation Society of Newport County is a 17-minute walk. Cliff Walk is also within easy walking distance. Public on-street parking and several paid lots are available, but no dedicated on-site parking is provided. The compact, walkable area means most major attractions, dining (Franklin Spa, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, Benjamin's Restaurant and Raw Bar, and many others within 0.5 km), and shopping are reachable on foot, making a car unnecessary for most itineraries.

Rooms are available as double rooms (one bed) and family rooms (two beds). All feature a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, free toiletries, and bathrobes. The family rooms include a fully equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, kitchenware, and a dining area, plus a sofa bed and separate seating area. Every room has air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, and a wardrobe. The rooms are described as spacious, well-maintained, and very clean, with comfortable beds and pillows. The style is classic B&B with tasteful decoration. Some double rooms have a kitchenette; the family rooms also have a full kitchen option. The keyless entry code system allows for a smooth, contactless arrival.

The inn serves a continental breakfast with options that past visitors have found satisfying, including bread, pastries, fruit, and hot drinks. The breakfast area is kept clean and stocked throughout the morning. Complimentary snacks and drinks are available for guests throughout the day. For those wanting a cooked meal or a wider variety, numerous restaurants are within a 5-minute walk - such as Franklin Spa, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, Benjamin's Restaurant and Raw Bar, and several cafés. The fully equipped kitchenette in family rooms also allows guests to prepare their own meals.

The inn's central location puts guests within walking distance of Newport's top leisure attractions. The International Tennis Hall of Fame (600 m) is a short stroll, and the Cliff Walk - a scenic coastal path - is also easily accessible. For beachgoers, King Park Beach is a 12-minute walk away. The inn does not have on-site pools, spa, or fitness facilities, but the walkable neighbourhood and proximity to the waterfront provide ample outdoor leisure opportunities.
