Located just off Las Vegas Boulevard south of Silverado Ranch Drive, the resort is a 10-minute drive from the heart of the Strip. The adjacent South Point Casino offers a wide variety of dining options, a bowling alley, movie theater, and an arena for events. For reaching the Strip or downtown, ride-share services take about 10-15 minutes and cost roughly $15-25 each way; public buses also run from South Point but take longer. Drivers can reach Harry Reid International Airport via the 215 west in under 15 minutes. The freeway is easily accessible for day trips to Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon. The immediate area is quieter than the Strip, making it a practical base for those who prefer a residential feel over the constant casino noise.

Every suite features a king-size bed in the primary bedroom plus a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area. The full kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and a full set of dinnerware and cookware. The bathroom has a double-sink vanity, an enclosed walk-in shower, and an oversized soaking or jetted tub. The in-unit washer/dryer and provided laundry supplies make longer stays convenient. All suites are non-smoking, have air conditioning and heating, and include two cable TVs with HBO, a DVD player, and free Wi-Fi. The two-bedroom suites are two connecting one-bedroom lock-off units, ideal for larger groups who want separate spaces. Rooms on higher floors may offer mountain or pool views, but no suites have balconies. The overall décor is practical but dated; the buildings are older and some common areas show wear.

The only on-site food outlet is Scotty Beans Char Broiler & Gift Shop, which offers a limited menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with basic groceries and sundries. For a full range of dining, the South Point Casino next door provides several restaurants including Italian, steakhouse, ice cream parlor, and a buffet. Many suites' kitchens are fully equipped, so many choose to prepare their own meals using groceries bought from the free Walmart shuttle. There are also several popular restaurants within 1 km along Las Vegas Boulevard. The on-site barbecue grills (first-come, first-served, utensils at concierge) allow for cookouts, but guests must supply their own food.

The five pools include a main pool with a waterfall feature and a separate activity pool with water features for children. All pools and hot tubs are open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Pool towels are provided, and food and drinks are allowed at the pool areas. The two fitness centers are free to use and include cardio and weight equipment. The on-site 9-hole putting course, board game library, and arcade/game room with billiards offer additional recreation. The adjacent South Point Casino provides a bowling alley and movie theater within a short walk. No spa or wellness center is on site. The pools can become crowded during peak times, especially the activity pool areas used by families. The pools close relatively early (10 PM) for Las Vegas, so late-night swimming is not possible.

Parking is free and on-site, with a large multi-level garage and ADA-accessible spaces; up to two vehicles per suite can be registered. EV charging stations are available. The 24-hour front desk provides concierge services, attractions ticket desk, and can arrange rollaway/extra beds. The free grocery shuttle runs to Walmart on a schedule (ADA lift equipped). Business center has computer stations and a printer. Free Wi-Fi is included in the one-time resort fee and covers the whole suite. In-suite amenities include an in-room safe, alarm clock, iron/board, and voicemail phone. Housekeeping is not provided during stays; towel and linen exchange requires a request and may take several hours. Luggage storage is available. The property does not have a restaurant, spa, or airport shuttle, and no pets are allowed.
