The inn occupies a prime position at the edge of Niagara-on-the-Lake's historic district. Guests can walk to the Shaw Festival Theatre in 10 minutes and to the Royal George Theatre in 7 minutes. Mississauga Beach is an 18-minute walk away. The surrounding park and lakefront promenade are ideal for morning walks or evening strolls. Niagara Falls is a 25-minute scenic drive (20 km) along the Niagara River Parkway. Several popular restaurants, including The Olde Angel Inn and Masaki Sushi, are within 0.5 km. On-site parking is free and does not require a reservation, though the small lot can fill during peak periods; overflow street parking is available nearby.

Room types include double rooms with one bed and quadruple rooms with two beds (the Rose Room has two queen beds). Nearly all rooms are on the second floor, reached by 15 steps; the only ground-floor option is the Garden Room, which also features a walk-in shower. Bathrooms have pedestal sinks, shelves for toiletries, and either a bath/shower combination or a standalone shower. A few rooms offer shared balcony space with lake views. Room sizes vary significantly: some are described as spacious, while others are compact with limited storage and no dedicated seating. Windows vary by room, and some rooms lack adequate blackout curtains; bringing an eyeshade is recommended for light-sensitive sleepers. Heating is controlled centrally, and the air conditioning is managed by the property, which may affect comfort in warmer weather.

Breakfast is pre-ordered the evening before from a menu that includes a Chef's Breakfast (two eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, grilled tomatoes, buttered toast and fruit), Classic Eggs Benedict, a House Omelette, and vegetarian and gluten-free options. Fresh fruit, juice and coffee or tea are also available. A self-service coffee and tea station is available 24/7 on the landing, along with a guest refrigerator and wine glasses. The inn does not operate a restaurant or bar for lunch or dinner, so guests plan to dine at the many nearby eateries within a short walk, such as Ravine Vineyard, The Gate House, Ruffino's, Masaki Sushi, and several casual options on Queen Street.
