THE PEOPLE - PARIS NATION, Paris

The hotel sits at Place de la Nation, a major transport hub with metro lines 1, 2, 6, 9 and RER A/B directly outside. Gare de Lyon is 2 km away (5 minutes by RER), and the property is 15-20 minutes by metro from Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est. The Orly airport bus stops near the square, and CDG airport is accessible via RER B. Major sights such as Notre Dame Cathedral (5 km) and the Louvre Museum (6 km) are 20-40 minutes by metro. A 24-hour Intermarché supermarket is immediately next door, and numerous cafés and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. The immediate neighbourhood has a busy but safe feel, with transport connecting efficiently to all central attractions.

Accommodation options include double rooms with private bathroom (20 m2) and shared dormitories (4, 6, or 8 beds). Dorm beds have privacy curtains, a reading light, two power sockets, and a shelf. Each bed also has a spacious under-bed locker; bring your own padlock. The double rooms feature a coffee machine, hairdryer, and city views. All rooms are air-conditioned, soundproofed, and heated. The dorm-specific ladders can creak and some top bunks are high; lower bunks are available on request but not guaranteed. Bunk-bed waterproof mattress covers can cause sweating in warm weather. Room sizes are minimal - storage space for luggage is limited to the under-bed locker. Road-facing rooms may pick up street noise from traffic and sirens.

The property hosts temporary art galleries and organises walking tours around the neighbourhood. Evening entertainment is provided on select nights, especially Friday and Saturday, with live music on the rooftop. The sun terrace and outdoor seating area double as the venue for these events. No gym, spa, pool, or dedicated leisure facilities are present. The rooftop bar with city views is the primary leisure space and is shared with the restaurant.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk can assist with late check-in, luggage storage (paid lockers €1-€6), and issuing invoices for business travellers. A locker room on the 6th floor (1-6 €) is available for storing bags before check-in or after check-out. The property is wheelchair-accessible with emergency cords, lower sinks, raised toilets with grab rails, and a lift. Safety features include key-card access, 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. Fax/photocopying is available for free. No parking is available on site. A nearby laundry service can be arranged via reception. Towels and padlocks can be purchased at reception.
