The Timhotel Paris Gare de l'Est occupies a quiet side street just a two-minute walk from Gare de l'Est and its Metro station (lines 4, 5, 7). Gare du Nord is a 10-minute walk away, providing direct Eurostar, Thalys, and regional train connections. The surrounding neighbourhood is lively, with the Canal Saint-Martin and its cafés, restaurants, and bars only 300 metres away. Major attractions such as the Marais district (10-minute walk), République, and Boulevard Montmartre are easily reached on foot. For longer trips, Metro line 7 reaches the Louvre in 15 minutes. The hotel's location combines transport convenience with a genuine Parisian village atmosphere.

Room sizes vary: Comfort Single (12 m²) with a 90x200 cm bed and shower; Comfort Double (13 m²) with a 140x200 cm bed; Comfort Twin (14 m²) with two twin beds; Superior Double (13 m²) with a 180x200 cm bed and bathtub or shower; and Comfort Triple (17 m²) with either two twin beds plus a sofa bed or a double bed. All rooms include a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a tea/coffee tray, hairdryer, in-room safe, and soundproofing. Some Superior and Twin Superior rooms offer a bathtub. Storage is limited to hanging rails; there are no wardrobes or drawers. While most rooms are well-maintained, some bathrooms may have drainage odours or shower leaks. The building has a lift (serving all five floors) and some rooms have views of the canal or interior courtyards.

The breakfast buffet operates from 06:30 to 10:30 on weekdays and until 11:00 on weekends. Offerings typically include croissants, bread, butter, jam, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, and hot beverages. Breakfast can also be served in the room upon request. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but the surrounding streets are filled with cafés, brasseries, and restaurants within a 3-minute walk, particularly along the Canal Saint-Martin. A welcome bottle of water is provided on arrival.
