TOC HOSTEL MALAGA, Malaga

The hostel sits in the city's most vibrant area, surrounded by restaurants, bars, and shops within 300 metres. The old town, cathedral, and shopping streets are all reachable on foot. Malaga Airport is 10 km away; a taxi costs around €30-40, or a pre-booked shuttle can be arranged for €28-32. The nearest tram stop provides an alternative for car-free city access. Those driving should note that public parking (€22/day) is nearby but cannot be reserved. On weekend nights, the street-facing rooms can be affected by noise from the adjacent bars and nightlife.

The breakfast buffet includes pastries, bread, fruit, cold meats, cheese, and hot drinks - adequate for a filling start. Those who prefer more variety or a quicker meal can explore the many dining options directly outside the hostel, such as Casa Lola, El Tapeo de Cervantes, and La Perra del Hortelano, all about 300 metres away. The property's bar serves drinks and a snack bar menu, and there is a coffee shop on site. Breakfast is served in the attached café; early departures can request a takeaway package. For guests looking to prepare their own food, the shared kitchen is equipped with a microwave, kettle, and fridge, though it lacks cooking hobs and has limited utensils.

The hostel provides a shared lounge and games room with a pool table, board games, and a TV area for socialising. Organised activities include pub crawls (for a charge), bike tours, and walking tours, which help explore the city and meet fellow travellers. Free sangria is offered on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. For independent exploration, bicycle rental is available. The beach (La Malagueta) is a leisurely 19-minute walk, and many cultural landmarks are within a few minutes on foot. Those seeking a more relaxed stay will find the common spaces suitable for reading or remote work.
