The hotel sits in an industrial area of Long Island City, directly across from the Queensbridge Houses. While the F train is convenient - two stops to Manhattan - the immediate neighbourhood feels rough, with some streets dirty and poorly lit. Walking to the subway is fine during the day, but after dark many prefer taxis or Ubers. Nearby dining options (LIC Grill, Napoli Pizza and Pasta) are within a 10-minute walk. LaGuardia Airport is 6 km away, and St. Patrick's Cathedral is 5 km. The area is prone to street noise and occasional parties.

All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, heating, and soundproofed windows. The kitchenette includes a microwave, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, coffee maker, and basic utensils; a hot plate and pots can be requested. The bed is comfortable, and there is adequate storage for clothes and luggage. Some rooms have a balcony (only two rooms in the hotel). Noise can be an issue: thin walls let through hallway and neighbour sounds, and construction next door causes early-morning disturbance. Rooms on higher floors tend to be quieter. The unit offers either one king or two double beds. The bathroom is a good size with good shower pressure. A few rooms have reported maintenance issues like broken lights or windows.

The buffet is well-stocked at peak times but can become crowded and occasionally runs low on certain items. The breakfast area is small, so arriving early is recommended.
