TOWNHOUSE 'T RAAP, Amsterdam

Townhouse 't Raap sits in a tranquil, non-touristy area just outside the bustling centre. Dutch National Opera & Ballet is 800 metres away, Rembrandt House an 8-minute walk, and Dam Square 1 km. Nearby tram and bus stops connect to all major museums and the station. ARTIS Zoo, Rembrandtplein, and canal swimming spots are within easy walking distance. Despite the proximity to landmarks, the immediate street is peaceful at night. Multiple cafes, bars, bakeries, and restaurants are a 2-5 minute walk away, including Café de Druif (50 m), one of the oldest pubs in the city.

There are two double rooms on the third floor, both featuring private bathrooms with rain showers, plush towels, bathrobes, and quality toiletries. Each room has a super-comfortable king-size bed with separate duvets, a private entrance, tea and coffee making facilities (Nespresso machine, kettle), and complimentary chocolates and snacks. A fan is provided for warm weather, and windows open for ventilation. Rooms are quiet and face away from the main road. The Tamara room offers a treetop view; the Helena room overlooks the city. Extra supplies (linen, towels) are available from a hallway cupboard. No TV - streaming via fast Wi-Fi.

The property does not serve breakfast, but the surrounding area offers a wide variety of morning and evening dining options. Within 300 metres you'll find Café de Druif (oldest pub), Bakers & Roasters Café (breakfast/brunch), pizzeria Bella Riva, Restaurant Entrepot, Broodje Valk, and many more. A bakery and grocery are also nearby. The room includes a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, and a fridge with complimentary waters and juices, ideal for a self-made morning drink before heading out.

The property itself does not have a gym, pool, or spa. However, the canal-filled area offers activities such as ice-skating (in winter) and boating along Amsterdam's historic waterways during warmer months. The quiet location is ideal for leisurely walks, and ARTIS Zoo, museums, and canal swimming spots are all within an easy stroll.

Townhouse 't Raap provides fast, free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Luggage storage is available before check-in or after check-out - helpful for late flights.
