Crown Reef sits directly on the Atlantic Ocean, offering unrestricted beach access. The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel and the 2 km Boardwalk are 5 minutes away by car. Family Kingdom Amusement Park is 3 km north, and Broadway at the Beach (8 km) provides shopping, dining, and attractions like Ripley's Aquarium. Nearby dining includes Damon's (0.5 km) and Waffle House (0.5 km). Downwind Sails watersports operates next door for jet ski, parasail, and banana boat rentals. While the immediate area is not highly walkable, most major attractions are within a short drive.

Accommodation choices range from standard rooms to efficiencies, one-bedroom suites, two-bedroom condos, and a four-bedroom penthouse. Each room features a private balcony overlooking the ocean, air conditioning, heating, cable TV, a safe, and ironing facilities. Efficiencies and suites include kitchenettes or full kitchens with stovetops, ovens, and utensils. Some units have whirlpool tubs, sofa beds, or Murphy beds. Bed configurations vary - king, queen, or double. While some rooms have been updated with modern furnishings, others may show signs of wear. All rooms are non-smoking.

Loco Gecko Beach Shak is the primary restaurant, open year-round for breakfast (à la carte), lunch, and dinner. It offers salads, pizzas, burgers, and oceanfront indoor and outdoor seating. The Grab n' Go counter serves Starbucks espresso drinks, pastries, mini donuts, and grab-and-go items. Swirl Ice Cream provides cones and dishes. The Pool Bar & Grill (seasonal) features hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, and cocktails. Breakfast is available for purchase at $17 per person. Dining hours vary seasonally, and the restaurant can be slow during peak periods.

The four-story waterpark features the Twister Body Slide (92.0 m) and Explosion Tube Slide (84.7 m), a kids' splash house (Salty's Splash House), and a kiddie slide. The lazy river is the longest oceanfront one in Myrtle Beach. There are 11 hot tubs (whirlpools), an indoor pool, an outdoor oceanfront pool, a bridge pool, and an island pool - all heated and open year-round. The fitness center on level 3 is free and includes more than a dozen machines. The Game On! arcade offers coinless gaming with ticket redemption. The sun deck provides two levels of outdoor seating. No spa is available.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all areas. The 24-hour front desk is located across the street at the convention center. On-site parking is self-parking in a garage (3.0 m clearance) and costs $15 per vehicle per night; accessible parking is available. Other services include an ATM, room service, meeting/banquet facilities (additional charge), and a safety deposit box (free). Self-service laundry is available for guests. The resort does not offer an airport shuttle and does not allow pets. Housekeeping service may be limited; request towels and trash removal as needed.
