CORAL BEACH RESORT, Myrtle Beach

The resort sits on the beach, offering direct sand access via a short walk with a wash-off station. It is 1 km from the 2nd Ave Pier start of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and 3 km from the boardwalk's end. Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand Mall, and Market Common are all within 8 km. Myrtle Beach International Airport is 2.8 km away. While the beach is immediately accessible, the boardwalk and many dining areas may require a car or ride-share, as the area is not considered highly walkable for those attractions. The Coast RTA bus service operates in the area.

Room types include the 35 m² Oceanview Queen Room with two queen beds and a 45-degree ocean view, and the 48 m² Oceanfront King Suite with a king bed, separate living room, and full kitchen. The largest option is the 58 m² Premium Oceanfront One Bedroom Queen Suite, which sleeps up to 7 and offers a panoramic view. All rooms have private balconies, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffee maker, and a safe. Kitchens in suites include basic pots, pans, dishes, and glassware. While the rooms are spacious, some are noted as needing modernization, and mattress comfort is a frequent variable, with some finding the beds hard. Noise from neighboring doors can be a concern for light sleepers. Rooms are located on floors 1-12.

Sea Level Restaurant serves a full hot breakfast with southern favorites like biscuits and grits (a la carte, additional cost). Coral Bean Café on the lobby level serves Starbucks coffee, espresso, pastries, and grab-and-go items. The Splash Oceanfront Pool Bar offers cocktails and a light grill menu during the season. The Oceans 6 Bar & Lounge provides a full bar and food menu in the afternoon and evening. For later dining, the Entertainment Zone snack bar is the only option after 4 pm. The food at the bowling alley snack bar is noted for being decent, but on-site dining outside breakfast can be overpriced. Breakfast vouchers can be purchased in advance at a discounted price.

Water amenities include an oceanfront 64000-gallon pool, a lazy river, a kiddie splash area with a submarine and pirate ship, and an indoor pool complex with a Roman spa and indoor hot tubs heated to 37.8 °C year-round. Outdoor pools are heated from mid-March through October. The indoor pool is open year-round from 8:30 am to 11:00 pm. On the sixth floor, the Entertainment Zone features 8 AMF bowling lanes, an arcade (Pac-Man, pinball, skee-ball), table games (pool, air hockey), and a snack bar/ice cream shop. Bowling costs $10/hour plus $2 shoe rental. A fitness center and business center are available. There is no spa on site.

The resort provides three levels of free parking, including a parking garage with direct elevator access, though spaces for vehicles over 6'6" are limited. Laundry facilities are available on floors 4 and 8 for a fee. A business center is on site. Pack 'n Play playards are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available with wider doorways and grab bars, but there are no roll-in showers. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, and key card access is used for elevators, pools, and the gift shop. The elevators can get very crowded on busy checkout days. There is no airport shuttle; taxis, Uber, or Lyft are recommended.
