HOTEL VECCHIA MILANO, Milan

The hotel sits on Via Borromei, 550 m from Piazza del Duomo and within a 10-minute walk of La Scala, Castello Sforzesco and the fashion shops of Corso Magenta. Dante Cordusio Metro Station (line M1) is 300 m away, connecting to Milano Centrale station (via Duomo) and the Expo area. Cadorna Station (600 m) provides direct Malpensa Express service. The neighbourhood is filled with restaurants and shops, and the streets are well lit and safe for evening walks. Some rooms overlook the quiet courtyard; road-facing rooms experience traffic noise, especially at night.

Rooms are compact and basic - primarily suited for short stays where the location matters more than space. Each room includes air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Some rooms have a private balcony and overlook the quiet courtyard; road-facing rooms may have traffic noise. The bathrooms are functional but small - the shower stall is tight, particularly in single rooms. Towels are changed daily and rooms are cleaned each day. The furniture is older and the decor simple; a few rooms have views of the internal courtyard. The lift serves all floors.

Breakfast is available at an additional charge of 5 EUR and runs from 07:30 to 10:00. It includes fresh croissants, cappuccino, toast, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, cheese, cold cuts and fruit. The breakfast room also functions as a lounge with a TV. Several restaurants serving local cuisine are within a 5-minute walk, including Hostaria Borromei and Trattoria Milanese Dal 1933. Single-occupancy rates sometimes include breakfast. The breakfast room is busy during peak times.
