MURRAY HOUSE, Newport

Murray House is a 5-minute walk from the nearest beach and a 9-minute walk from Bailey's Beach. The Cliff Walk entrance and Marble House are less than a 10-minute walk away, with The Breakers also nearby. Downtown Newport's shops and dining are a pleasant 30-minute walk or a short ride on the free trolley, which has a stop close to the property. T.F. Green Airport is 46 km away. The setting is private and quiet, ideal for couples seeking a restful base with easy access to Newport's key sights without needing a car.

There is no restaurant or bar at Murray House. However, each room has a kitchenette with a stovetop, microwave, and refrigerator, and the property provides complimentary breakfast items such as fruit, juice, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, muffins, and tea/coffee. This allows for a flexible, self-catered start to the day in the privacy of your suite or on your patio. For other meals, the surrounding area offers many restaurants and cafés a short walk or trolley ride away in downtown Newport.

Wellness facilities include two seasonal outdoor swimming pools (one with a view, both with shallow ends and pool towels provided), a hot tub (open from May, closed in winter), a sauna, sun loungers and umbrellas, and a private beach area. The property also has a tennis court, a sun terrace, and a picnic area. The hot tub is free to use, as is the sauna. The gardens are lush and well-maintained, with private garden spaces for each room. The pools and hot tub create a relaxing focal point, though access is not permitted after dark. A dog park is a 5-minute walk away, and cycling, hiking, and fishing are available nearby.
