Just off Highway 97, Waypoint Hotel sits in Bend's Mid-Town, a central base for exploring the city. Over 100 restaurants are within walking distance, including Black Bear Diner and MidCity Smash Burger. Pioneer Park and the Deschutes River are less than 1 km away, ideal for morning runs or walks. Downtown Bend is a 15-minute stroll, though the route passes under a railroad. The hotel is minutes by car from lakes, rivers, mountains, and golf courses, and provides easy highway access for year-round activities such as hiking, biking, and skiing at Mt. Bachelor.

The Standard King and Standard Queen rooms offer California queen beds and ample shelving and hooks for gear like golf clubs and ski equipment. The Family Suite is a single-entrance room with two California king beds in the main bedroom and a separate California queen bed behind a private door, accommodating up to six people. Accessible rooms include two California king beds, extra square footage, lowered peepholes and handles, Braille room numbers, and walk-in showers. A cot can be provided upon request. Note that rooms are entered directly from the parking lot, and some carpeting and sheets have been noted by some as feeling rough. The rooms do not have balconies.
