WINGATE BY WYNDHAM MEMPHIS EAST, Memphis

All rooms feature a private bathroom, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, microwave, small refrigerator, tea and coffee maker, hairdryer, desk, and air conditioning. Room types range from double rooms with 1-3 beds to suites with separate living areas and sofas. Some suites include an in-room jacuzzi hot tub. Soundproofing is limited, so road-facing rooms and upper floors can be noisier. While the mattresses are consistently described as comfortable and pillows are praised, the furniture - especially desk chairs - is often worn. The overall decor is dated but functional. Family rooms are available. No balconies exist on the property.

Breakfast is served daily and includes a rotating selection of hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, make-your-own waffles, and bacon. Cold options include cereal, yogurt, pastries, fruit, coffee, and juice. The breakfast room can get crowded and food may run out quickly during peak hours, especially after 8:30 AM. The pancake machine is occasionally out of order. There is no restaurant or bar on-site, but a vending machine for snacks and drinks is available. Several fast-food and casual restaurants are within a short drive.

The fitness centre is free to use but has been reported as out of order or very limited at times. No swimming pool, spa, or other leisure facilities are on the property.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all areas, free on-site parking (no reservation needed, accessible parking available), and a 24-hour front desk. Business facilities include a free business centre, fax/photocopying, and meeting/banquet rooms for up to 24 people (additional charge for meetings). Other services: daily housekeeping (free), dry cleaning (fee), express check-in/out, safety deposit box, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. The property is wheelchair accessible with a lift, grab rails in toilets, and adapted rooms. Key card access and smoke alarms ensure security. There is no airport shuttle or restaurant. Pets are allowed with no additional fee.
