The hostel sits at the bottom of Garden Hill, next to a residential area, providing a relatively quiet setting for Hong Kong. Airport access is straightforward: MTR or bus A20 (~50 min) or E21 (~90 min) from the airport to Yen Chow Street. The surrounding Sham Shui Po neighborhood is known for its authentic local character, with an abundance of affordable eateries, street food, markets, and shops within a short walk. Lan Kwai Fong is 6 km away, Repulse Bay is 11 km away. The walk from the MTR station is flat and easy, though travellers with heavy luggage may find the 10-minute walk to major bus lines a bit long.

Private rooms (25 m2) feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, electric kettle, wardrobe, seating area, and a private bathroom with shower, toilet, and hairdryer. Family rooms accommodate up to 4 guests (extra bed HKD 300, subject to availability) and include one toilet. Dormitory rooms (4 or 8 beds) come with lockers (bring your own padlock or buy one at reception for HKD 30) and power sockets. Curtains are available only on individual dormitory beds near the window, not on shared dormitory beds. All rooms are non-smoking, and there is no balcony. Some units may have limited airflow; windows cannot be opened, and rooms near staff or storage areas can be noisier. The property is situated next to a residential area and is comparatively quiet for Hong Kong, but road-facing rooms or those on lower floors may experience noise from street activity.

Breakfast at the café includes a continental buffet with bread, pastries, and hot drinks; it is available for an additional charge and has been noted as tasty and inexpensive. The café also offers all-day dining with a menu of sandwiches, coffee, and snacks. The open-air courtyard provides a pleasant setting for meals. There is no separate restaurant; the café functions as the main dining outlet. The surrounding Sham Shui Po area offers an extensive range of cheap and Michelin-recommended eateries, street food, and dessert shops within a few minutes' walk. For self-catering, a shared kitchen is available with cooking basics, though guests should bring their own utensils.

Leisure facilities are limited to a recreational function area called The Hub, an open-air terrace with bean chairs, and a garden. Hiking is available off-site (free). The on-site museum, housed in the historic building, offers free insight into Hong Kong's public housing history and is worth a visit. Board games and puzzles are available for guests. The self-catering kitchen and laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are practical for longer stays. The quiet courtyard provides a relaxing outdoor space.

The 24-hour front desk handles check-ins at any hour and can assist with luggage storage (free before 22:00 daily; overnight storage costs HKD 100 per night).
