ALHAMBRA SUITES, Madrid

Alhambra Suites sits in the heart of Madrid, a 2-minute walk from Sol metro station and Puerta del Sol. The property is within a 15-minute stroll of the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Mercado San Miguel, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, and Prado Museum. The surrounding streets are filled with tapas bars, restaurants, and shops, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. Sol metro station provides direct connections to Atocha train station and Madrid-Barajas Airport (with one transfer). The area is very lively day and night, so rooms facing the street or near reception may experience noise; rooms at the back are quieter.

Accommodation options include twin, double, triple, apartment, and suite categories. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, safe, minibar, and free toiletries. Some rooms have parquet floors, a seating area, and soundproof walls. A number of rooms offer a balcony with views of the city streets. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The building dates from the 19th century, so walls are not heavily soundproofed - noise from corridors, adjacent rooms, and the street can be heard. Rooms facing inner courtyards receive limited natural light. The bathrooms are private but some layouts feature a glass partition between the shower/toilet and the bedroom, reducing privacy. Choose a room at the back or away from reception for a quieter stay.

The property provides a 24-hour front desk with concierge and tour desk services. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out. Free Wi-Fi is accessible in all rooms and some common areas. A lift serves all floors. For business needs, free fax/photocopying is offered. Laundry and ironing services are available for an additional charge. Safety deposit boxes are free in rooms. The building has 24-hour security with CCTV and key card access. No parking is provided - the nearest public car parks are a 5-10 minute walk away. Family rooms and cots are available on request. Pets are not allowed. All areas are non-smoking.
