ARCADIE MONTPARNASSE, Paris

The hotel sits 150 metres from Gare Montparnasse, providing direct train connections across France and to the city centre. Gaîté Metro Station is literally at the doorstep, giving quick access to the Champs-Élysées and major landmarks. Jardin du Luxembourg is a 15-minute walk away. The surrounding Montparnasse neighbourhood is packed with restaurants, cafés, and shops-Chez Jean Claude, Le Plomb du Cantal, and Pizza Roma are all within 300 metres. The area is lively both day and night, especially along Rue de la Gaîté. Transport to Orly and CDG airports is straightforward via RER B from nearby Denfert-Rochereau station (about 10 minutes on foot). The hotel's location is particularly convenient for train travellers and those wanting a central base with easy metro access.

Each room includes a minibar, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, a wardrobe, and a private bathroom with hairdryer and either a bath or shower. Some rooms are compact but well-equipped; family rooms can feel tight with an open sofa bed. Courtyard-facing rooms are quieter, while street-side rooms may experience some traffic noise (soundproofing is effective with windows closed). The lift is small-suitable for one person with a small bag. A few rooms have been renovated with modern bathrooms, though some remain dated. Amenities include air conditioning (cooling only), heating, soundproofing, tea/coffee making facilities, and a safe. Twin beds are available on request. Overall, accommodation is clean and functional, best suited for travellers prioritising location and value over luxury.

Breakfast is a continental buffet featuring breads, pastries, yogurts, fruits, cheeses, cold meats, juices, and hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate). It is available for an additional charge of 15 EUR and is well-regarded for its fresh croissants and quality coffee, though some find the selection basic for the price. The hotel does not have its own restaurant or bar, but the surrounding streets are full of eateries-within a 2-minute walk you'll find over a dozen restaurants ranging from French bistros to Italian and pizza places. Many cafés and bakeries are also nearby. For a quick meal, guests can easily grab something from the many food shops and boulangeries in the area. If you prefer a hot dinner, plan to explore the local options rather than relying on the hotel.

No on-site spa, pool, or gym. However, Jardin du Luxembourg is a 15-minute walk away-ideal for a morning stroll or afternoon relaxation. Montparnasse Cemetery is also nearby, offering a peaceful green space. For more active leisure, the many metro lines from Gaîté and Montparnasse quickly connect to the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and other landmarks. The neighbourhood itself is well served by theatres and entertainment venues, especially along Rue de la Gaîté.
