The area feels safe and quiet at night, though a bar opposite can produce some street noise.

The property offers single, double, twin, and triple rooms, all with shared bathroom facilities (bath with shower), a wardrobe, flat-screen TV, safe, and central heating. Room sizes vary, with some on the top floor having sloping ceilings that feel small. The building is older and can show wear - thin walls and creaky floorboards mean noise from neighbouring rooms and the street may be audible. Beds have been described as comfortable by some, but others report mattresses that are worn or squeaky. Windows in some rooms may not close fully, which can let in cold draughts during colder months. Hair dryers are available at reception, and extra electric heaters can be requested but should be used cautiously. Towel rental is available for a refundable deposit, and soap is not provided in rooms.
