HOSTAL ART MADRID, Madrid

The hostal sits on Calle del Conde de Romanones, placing you within a 5-minute walk of Plaza Mayor, Mercado San Miguel, and Puerta del Sol. The Prado Museum and Royal Palace are reachable on foot in 15-20 minutes. Tirso de Molina Metro Station (Line 1) is 50 m away, with Sol station also nearby, providing direct access from the airport (change at Nuevos Ministerios or take the express bus to Atocha). A 24-hour Carrefour and Lidl supermarket are at the end of the street, along with numerous tapas bars, restaurants, and cafés. The neighbourhood is lively and central, ideal for sightseeing without needing transport.

Double and single rooms are available, each with a private bathroom (shower, hairdryer, free toiletries). Rooms are air-conditioned and heated, with parquet floors, a desk, wardrobe, minibar/fridge, and trouser press. Some rooms have a balcony; all are on the second floor of the building, accessible by lift. Room sizes vary-while some find smaller rooms adequate for short stays, those needing more space for luggage or clothing may wish to book a larger category. Road-facing rooms can be affected by street noise; interior rooms facing the courtyard are notably quieter. The property dates from an older building, but the hostel section is recently renovated and maintained clean.

The hostal does not offer breakfast service or have its own restaurant or bar. For morning meals, nearby options include Café del Patio, Casa de Granada, and El b_Us, all within a 5-minute walk. The La Latina neighbourhood is famous for its tapas bars and restaurants, including Restaurante Botin and Rosi La Loca Taberna. A 24-hour Carrefour and Lidl are at the bottom of the street for self-catering supplies. A coffee machine is available in the lobby.
