AUSTRIA HAUS HOTEL, Vail

The hotel sits directly in Vail Village, 150 yards from Gondola One and 300 metres from the lift. The Vail Transportation Center is across the street, providing direct bus links to Lionshead and regional shuttles. Eagle County Regional Airport is 46 km away; a paid shuttle service (Epic Mountain Express) is the recommended transfer, as the hotel does not operate its own airport shuttle. The area is walkable to countless restaurants and shops, and a free local shuttle stops nearby, making car-free stays practical. For skiing, Riva Bahn-6 is 600 metres away and Adventure Ridge is 1 km.

Breakfast is included in the resort fee and is served daily in a cozy dining area. The spread typically includes a hot main dish that changes daily (such as custom omelettes, biscuits and gravy, or waffles), plus continental options like pastries, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, juices, and good coffee. Vegetarian gravy and gluten-free options are available. The breakfast is well-suited for fuelling up before a day on the slopes. There is no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner, but the hotel offers room service with a menu of beer and wine at reasonable prices. The surrounding Vail Village has dozens of restaurants and cafés within a short walk, including Bol, Pepi's, Sweet Basil, and Up the Creek.

The outdoor heated pool is open all year, with sun loungers and views of the creek and mountains. The hot tub provides a relaxing soak after skiing or hiking. The fitness centre is free to use and includes cardio and strength equipment. Massage services are available for an additional charge. The property also has a terrace with outdoor furniture and a sitting area by the fire in the lobby, used for family games and evening relaxation. Seasonal activities include skiing, hiking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, and golf (course within 3 km). Ski storage is available on site, and a slope-side ski valet near Gondola One allows skiers to leave equipment overnight.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk can assist with tours, ski passes, and concierge advice. Luggage storage is available free of charge, and a free shuttle service operates within the local area. Housekeeping is provided daily at no extra cost; laundry and dry cleaning are available for an additional charge. The hotel has a lift, business centre with fax/photocopying, and safety deposit boxes. Babysitting/child services can be arranged for an additional fee. Parking is private and on site (heated underground) at US$60 per day; reservation is not needed. The property is wheelchair accessible with facilities for disabled guests, and is a non-smoking property throughout. Pets are not allowed.
