Beach Colony Resort sits directly on Myrtle Beach with its own private beach area and direct access from the pool deck. The location is north of the main downtown strip, offering a quieter beach experience while still being central to shopping, dining, and attractions. Broadway at the Beach is a 12-minute drive southwest, and Tanger Outlets are 10 minutes by car. Myrtle Beach International Airport is 11 km away. The area feels safe and includes a playground less than a block away. Many nearby restaurants, shops, and live shows are within walking distance or a short drive.

Accommodations range from compact studios to spacious four-bedroom condos, all privately owned and therefore varying significantly in style, condition, and amenities. Most units are oceanfront and include a balcony, air conditioning, a full kitchen (stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, cookware), cable TV, and free Wi-Fi. Some units also include a washing machine, dishwasher, and streaming services. Units on higher floors (8th and above) typically offer better, unobstructed ocean views, while lower floors or side-view units may have partial or limited sightlines. Cannonballz, the family-friendly poolside restaurant, is open for lunch and dinner (operating hours roughly 4 pm-9 pm, including off-peak seasons). The menu features American cuisine: appetizers like fried pickles and wings (over 15 sauce flavors), fresh salads, sandwiches, burgers on brioche buns, and a full bar with tropical cocktails and frozen drinks. The pool bar serves refreshments during the summer season. A 24-hour self-serve Snack Shack on the lobby level stocks snacks, cold drinks, and beach supplies. For breakfast, guests primarily self-cater using their in-room kitchen, as there is no on-site breakfast service. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are also available.

The resort provides extensive on-site leisure facilities. The outdoor area features two year-round heated oceanfront pools, a lazy river, a 0.3 m-deep kiddie pool, and outdoor whirlpools.
