BOLD HOTEL MUENCHEN GIESING, Munich

The hotel sits in a quiet, largely residential suburb 11 km from Munich Exhibition Grounds, offering a peaceful alternative to the city centre. Giesing train station (U2 and S-Bahn) is a 5-minute walk away, providing a 15-minute trip to Marienplatz and Oktoberfest via U2. Tram 17 at Chiemgaustraße is 400 metres away, linking to city attractions. The A8 motorway is reachable in 5 minutes by car. A supermarket is 100 metres from the hotel, and several local restaurants are within walking distance. Street parking is free on weekends, making car access manageable. The neighbourhood is calm and practical rather than lively, so visitors wanting central nightlife should plan for the short transit ride.

Standard Bold Rooms feature a flat-screen TV, private bathroom with a shower, and underfloor heating. Bed size is 160x200 cm. The Bold Deluxe Studio (28-32 m²) adds a small kitchenette with a fridge, cookware, and a Nespresso machine, plus a sofa bed suitable for a child up to 6 years old (free extra bed). Some studios also offer a balcony or rooftop terrace. Rooms have exposed racks and metal pipes for hanging clothes - no traditional wardrobe. Pillows and bedding are allergy-friendly (feather-free). Noise levels vary: some studios are quiet, but road-facing rooms and those over the Biergarten can be noisy. A ventilation system is provided instead of air conditioning; fans are available on request. Room cleaning is only done when requested at reception.

The breakfast buffet is served daily for an additional charge of €19. It includes a range of vegetarian and vegan items: Bircher muesli with freshly grated apple, hummus, fresh fruit, bread and pastries, several spreads, and hot drinks from a machine. No meat, fish, or hot egg dishes are offered. The bar/lounge area is open 24 hours and serves drinks and snacks, with beer and wine available. A snack and drink vending machine is also on site. For self-catering, the hotel is 100 metres from a supermarket, and a nearby bakery is a short walk away.

Wellness facilities are not available at this property. Leisure options include the on-site garden and sun terrace, as well as a shared lounge/TV area where guests can relax with drinks or snacks. Board games/puzzles are provided for entertainment. The area is suited for those attending events at Munich Exhibition Grounds (11 km away) or exploring the city via public transport.
