HOTEL SHARM, Amsterdam

The hotel sits in a central canal district, 300 metres from both the Royal Palace and Anne Frank House. Dam Square is a 5-minute walk, and Amsterdam Central Station is a 15-minute walk or a short tram ride. Leidseplein nightlife is within a 20-minute walk. A tram stop is nearby, and a bike rental shop is next door, making it easy to explore the city without a car. The area is packed with shops, bars, and restaurants within a 5-minute radius.

Rooms are small - some measure as little as 3 by 2 metres - and are best suited for short stays where space is less of a priority. Each room has an ensuite bathroom with a shower, and includes a flat-screen TV, minibar, wardrobe, safe, and parquet floors. Single rooms offer garden views; triple and quadruple rooms have city views. Standard double beds are 140-160 cm wide (not king-size). Thin walls mean noise from neighbouring rooms can be an issue, so light sleepers should request a quieter room. All rooms are heated and have tea/coffee making facilities. Daily housekeeping and towel changes are provided.

The hotel does not offer breakfast or an on-site restaurant. Drinks are not provided in the rooms via the minibar. A wide choice of cafés, bakeries, and restaurants (Indian, French, and more) are within a 3-minute walk. For those who prefer to eat in, the in-room refrigerator and electric kettle allow for basic self-catering.

Sun umbrellas are available, but there is no pool or wellness area. The central location places guests within walking distance of Amsterdam's main attractions, shops, and nightlife. Bike rental is available next door for exploring the city.
