The neighbourhood is packed with restaurants, bars, and grocery shops, and the port and Columbus Monument are a 20-minute walk away. For car users, parking is available nearby for €25 per day but cannot be reserved. The area is well served by buses, including direct routes to Barceloneta beach.

The lift is functional but slow; the stairs are a faster alternative.

Casa Codina does not have a restaurant or breakfast service. The apartment's kitchenette - with hob, oven, microwave, and dishwasher - allows for full self-catering, supported by nearby grocery shops (Condis, plus a larger supermarket on Avinguda del Paral*lel). For eating out, Carrer de Blai is just a short walk away, lined with popular tapas bars and restaurants serving pinchos, paella, and pizza. Plaça del Sortidor and nearby streets offer dozens more affordable dining options, including several seafood spots and coffee shops. The Paral*lel area expands the choice further with additional supermarket options and casual eateries.
