CHECK INN HK, Hong Kong

The property is a short walk from Wan Chai MTR, offering quick metro access across Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre is a 10-minute walk away, and Central Plaza and Times Square are within a 10-minute walk, making it ideal for business and shopping. The A11 airport bus stops directly outside, providing a direct 50-minute link to Hong Kong International Airport for HK$41.9. Public transport options including trams, buses, and the MTR are all within steps, and the area is packed with restaurants and shops. Solo travellers find the location safe and well-connected, and the tram stop right outside offers convenient sightseeing along the island.

Rooms at Check Inn HK are equipped with air conditioning and are cleaned daily. Double, twin, triple, quadruple, family, and single rooms are available, with either shared or private bathrooms. Dormitory beds are basic: no privacy curtains, no individual reading lights, and limited floor space. Some dorms have lockers provided in the room. The private rooms are more spacious and quieter, with some offering city views. Apartments with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms are also available, suitable for groups. Noise from street traffic, slamming doors, and other rooms can be an issue, especially in road-facing rooms or those near common areas. Beds are comfortable but rooms are compact; larger groups or those with heavy luggage may find space tight. The lift provides access to all floors.

The property does not have a restaurant or offer breakfast. Free coffee and tea are provided each morning for all residents. A shared kitchen with a microwave, kettle, and filtered water is available, allowing guests to prepare simple meals. The surrounding Wan Chai area has numerous dining options within a 5-minute walk, including DimDimSum Dim Sum Specialty Store, Pirata, Ming Garden Restaurant, and several cafes and food shops. Instant noodle soups are sold at reception for a low price. Guests reliant on a full meal plan should plan to eat out or use the shared kitchen.

Wellness and leisure facilities are limited to social indoor spaces. The common lounge area features a large window overlooking the street, a TV, a piano, a guitar, and a book collection, providing a relaxed space for socialising or working. A games room and board games are available. The property also arranges paid activities including pub crawls, hiking tours, Wanchai tours, dim sum tours, and cooking classes, which are a good way to explore the city with others. There is no pool, spa, gym, or sauna.
