A 2-minute walk from La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya puts this hostel at the very centre of Barcelona's action.
Located just off Plaza Catalunya Square, on the edge of the historic Ciutat Vella district, the hostel is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and nightlife. The Boqueria Market is 700 metres away. Transport is exceptional: the Aerobus to Barcelona Airport stops 400 metres away and runs all night, and Catalunya and Universitat metro stations are within a few minutes' walk. The central location means most major attractions and the Gothic Quarter are walkable, though the area can be noisy late at night due to its vibrancy.

Accommodation

Dormitories are bright, air-conditioned, and fitted with functional décor, bunk beds with privacy curtains, and large under-bed lockers.
Rooms range from mixed and female-only dorms to private rooms with private or shared bathrooms. Each bunk has a curtain, reading light, socket, shelf, and a spacious locker underneath - big enough for two large suitcases. However, some rooms have limited ventilation, and windows may not open for security or noise reasons, leading to stuffiness. Bed quality in terms of mattress comfort and frame stability varies, with some being comfortable and others creaky or causing movement. Towels and padlocks are available for rent at reception. The hostel has no rooms with a balcony.

Dining

The on-site Belushi's bar-restaurant serves a range of meals, snacks, and drinks, with a continental buffet breakfast available for an additional charge.
Breakfast (€5) is a continental buffet with bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, yogurt, fruit, juices, and hot drinks. It is served from early morning but can run low after 08:15 if the hostel is busy. Belushi's is open daily from 09:00 to 02:00, offering American, British, and Australian cuisine including vegetarian options. Residents receive a 25% discount on food. The attached bar is a social hub with a garden courtyard, and the kitchen has a microwave, oven, and air fryer (no stoves). A wide range of restaurants and supermarkets are within a 2-minute walk.

Wellness and Leisure

No spa, pool, or gym, but the hostel compensates with a packed social programme and a lively bar.
Wellness facilities are absent, but leisure activities are plentiful. Daily free events include walking tours, live music, DJs, and themed dinner nights. Every evening at 19:00 there is a welcome meeting with free sangria that makes it easy to meet other travellers. The hostel also arranges pub crawls and club nights (for an additional fee).
