Hotel Lleó sits on a central street between Plaça de Catalunya and Plaça Universitat, putting all of Barcelona's main attractions within walking distance. Las Ramblas is a 1-minute walk, and the Gothic Quarter, Passeig de Gràcia, and Gaudí's Casa Batlló are all reachable on foot in under 15 minutes. The Aerobus from the airport stops at Plaça de Catalunya, just 2 minutes away. The nearest metro stations (L1, L2, L3) are within 100 metres, providing direct connections to Sagrada Família and Barceloneta beach in about 10 minutes. The port is a 10-minute taxi ride.

Accommodation quality varies significantly by room category. Standard rooms are in an older section with dated furniture and often have small windows facing internal shafts, giving little natural light. Double-glazing is minimal, and noise from the street and corridor can be intrusive, making these rooms less suitable for light sleepers. Superior and deluxe rooms are renovated, more spacious, and located on the 6th floor, each with a private terrace. Balcony rooms are available on floors 2-5. All rooms include a flat-screen satellite TV, minibar/fridge, electric kettle, safe, and air conditioning. Bathrooms have a shower (and bath in superior rooms), hairdryer, and toiletries. Daily housekeeping is available on request, and towels are changed daily.

Breakfast is a buffet with a varied selection - breads, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, cereals, and hot dishes such as scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausages. Fresh orange juice is also offered. It is served in the ground-floor dining area. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner on-site, but the hotel has a lounge area and a snack bar, and guests can order drinks and light bites there. The surrounding streets offer dozens of restaurants and cafés within a 2-minute walk. In-room breakfast is not available.

The rooftop pool and sun terrace are a key feature, open year-round (weather permitting). The pool itself is small and not heated, best used for a quick cool-down on warm days. Sun loungers are available, though some are heavily worn. The solarium and bar operate from 07:00 to 23:00, and the space offers views over the city. The pool area remains popular for a relaxing end to a day of sightseeing.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk can arrange private transfers, car hire, and local tours. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, with a secure locked room. The hotel has two lifts to all floors. An ATM/cash machine is on site.
