The hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring central Amsterdam. Dam Square and the Royal Palace are just over 5 minutes away, the Anne Frank House is under 20 minutes on foot, and Nemo Science Museum is 15 minutes away. Numerous bars, restaurants and shops are within a short walk, and the area is lively both day and night. The property is on a canal, and selected rooms offer canal views. Public transport is excellent: Central Station is close by, and a tram stop is just outside. Note that the hotel is within the Red Light District, and the street can be noisy until late. Parking is not available; the recommended public car park is Oosterdok Parking Centrum. For those without a car, the location is ideal for getting around on foot or by public transport.

All rooms include a TV, private bathroom with shower, free toiletries, hairdryer, and free WiFi. Most rooms have heating; some have a fan as there is no air conditioning. Double beds may be narrower (approx. 120 cm), and twin rooms have narrow single beds. Room sizes are generally small, with very limited space for opening suitcases. A safe is provided in each room. There is no kettle in the room; a paid coffee machine is available in the lobby. An iron can be borrowed from reception. Daily housekeeping is included. Due to the historic building, rooms have steep stairs with no lift - this is a key consideration for guests with mobility issues or heavy luggage. Some rooms on the lower floor may be preferable. Noise from the street and adjacent rooms is common; those sensitive to noise may want to bring earplugs. Canal view rooms offer great vistas but come with street noise. Families should note that the rooms are small and the stairs are challenging.

For breakfast, lunch or dinner, numerous cafés, restaurants and takeaway options are within a 5-minute walk along the canal and surrounding streets.
