The hotel sits on the south side of Sussex Gardens, a quiet tree-lined street in a safe, central area. Paddington Station is less than 300 metres away, providing direct underground access across London as well as the Heathrow Express for airport transfers. Lancaster Gate tube is a 5-minute walk. Hyde Park is a 5-minute walk, and the West End and Oxford Street are easily reached on foot or by tube. Numerous restaurants, pubs, and shops are within a 2-minute walk along Praed Street and around the station. The location is particularly convenient for sightseeing, with no need for a car; the Hop-on Hop-off bus stop and regular bus routes are within one block.

All rooms offer satellite TV, a desk, wardrobe, opening window, and tea/coffee-making kit. Beds feature orthopaedic mattresses, though many describe them as firm. Private bathrooms are very small, often described as airline- or caravan-sized, with a shower, toilet, and sink in a prefabricated unit. Rooms on higher floors involve steep, narrow stairs. Street-facing rooms can be noisy from traffic, sirens, and late-night crowds. Windows are single-glazed, and there is no air conditioning - only a fan is provided. In hot weather, rooms can become uncomfortably warm. Triple rooms have three single beds and a quiet street view. The accommodation is best suited to budget-conscious travellers prioritising location over comfort or space.

Breakfast is included and served from 8:00 to 10:00 in the ground-floor breakfast room. The spread is continental: bread for toast, ham, cheese, cereals, croissants, jams, Nutella, juice, and hot drinks from a machine. Due to the small capacity, guests select a 45-minute slot (8:00-8:45 or 9:00-9:45) at check-in. The breakfast is basic and limited; those expecting a full English or a wide variety will find it sparse. There is no restaurant or bar on site. Several dining options are within a 3-minute walk, including The Dickens Tavern, Angus Steakhouse, and ASK Italian.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and reported to be reliable. Luggage storage is free and available from check-out until 10:00 PM, as well as before check-in from 08:00. Daily housekeeping is limited to making the bed and emptying bins; towel and sheet changes may be charged extra if needed before a set interval. An iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer (with £20 deposit) are available from reception. Baby cots can be provided for children up to two years old, but only in double rooms.
