HOTEL CORONADO, Barcelona

The hotel sits in a lively central neighbourhood, close to Paral*lel Metro (L3) and bus stops, making it easy to reach the city centre, the port (10 minutes on foot), and the Magic Fountains of Montjuïc (15 minutes). La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter are within a 15-20 minute walk, while the beach is about 20-30 minutes on foot or a quick metro ride. The area is packed with tapas bars, casual eateries, supermarkets, and a Lidl. Sants train station is also nearby. The location is rated 8.3 for convenience, but street noise from nightlife and traffic can be noticeable, especially on lower floors facing the road.

The hotel's bar-cafeteria in the lobby serves drinks, coffee, and snacks, and a vending machine is also available. There is no room service or breakfast offering. However, the surrounding streets are lined with tapas bars, restaurants, and cafés within 2-5 minutes on foot, ideal for all meals. A popular pedestrian street with outdoor seating is one block away. For those arriving late, the 24-hour reception can suggest nearby options that stay open late.

The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, can arrange taxis to the airport, and handles luggage storage for free after check-out. Rooms are cleaned daily. A shared lounge/TV area is available. Wi-Fi is free and works well in all areas. Safety deposit boxes are available for a fee (€10 deposit + €1 per night). Parking is private, off-site, costs €15 per day, and cannot be reserved. The hotel has a lift, though it is very small, and a room for disabled guests is available but subject to occupancy. Accepted payment methods include most major cards. Note that room keys must be left at reception when leaving; this may affect air conditioning operation as the power is key-activated.
