CRAFOORD PLACE HOSTEL, Stockholm

The property sits in a residential area known for its parks, especially Vasaparken, ideal for picnics in summer and ice skating in winter. Stockholm Observatory and Strindberg Museum are within 1 km. Many restaurants, cafés and supermarkets are within a 0.5 km radius. The metro and Arlanda Airport buses at Odenplan connect directly to the city centre and airport. The immediate neighbourhood is lively during the day but can feel quiet at night, which supports sleep but may require a short walk for nightlife. Walking to Gamla Stan takes about 25 minutes; public transport is available for longer trips.

Room types include basic shared dormitories, double, triple and quadruple private rooms. Quadruple rooms have two beds and are entirely private for the booking group. Beds are bunk-style with a shelf, personal light and USB socket. Some bunk beds are metal and can squeak during movement; rooms can feel compact in larger dorms. Lockers are available in the rooms and in the hallway for storing luggage. Bed linen is provided. Towels can be rented. Rooms are heated and have windows - some overlook the city and water. There is no air conditioning; warm weather may make rooms stuffy. The elevator goes to the 7th floor; one flight of stairs remains. No rooms have balconies or private bathrooms.

For on-site relaxation, there is a cozy chill-out room with a large flat-screen TV and Netflix. In summer, an outdoor barbecue area is available. The property also has a games room with board games and movie nights (free). For outdoor enthusiasts, Vasaparken is nearby for walks, picnics or ice skating. Off-site, the area supports cycling, fishing, skiing, canoeing, and windsurfing (some with additional charges). Ski storage is available free of charge. The hostel also offers free walking tours and cultural classes, ideal for solo travellers looking to explore the city and meet others.

Cleaning services include free daily housekeeping and ironing. Laundry is available for an additional charge.
