Ersta Hotell & Konferens is situated in a tranquil part of Södermalm, within easy reach of both public transport and the city centre. The Ersta Sjukhus Bus Stop, 150 metres from the hotel, provides direct connections across Stockholm, while Slussen Metro Station is a 15-minute walk away. Fjällgatan street, immediately adjacent, offers sweeping views of Saltsjön Bay and central Stockholm. The Viking Line ferry terminal is approximately 15 minutes on foot, making this a convenient base for ferry travellers. Walking to Gamla Stan (the Old Town) takes about 20-25 minutes. The neighbourhood is peaceful yet has several restaurants and cafés within a few hundred metres.

The hotel occupies a refurbished 19th-century building, and room décor and condition vary. Rooms generally feature carpeted or parquet floors, a flat-screen TV, and a hairdryer. Heating is provided, but there is no air conditioning; opening windows is possible, though rooms facing the main road may experience traffic noise. Each floor has a service room with ironing facilities. Some rooms have private bathrooms with walk-in showers, while others share facilities. Electric kettles are available in selected rooms. Beds are comfortable with quality mattresses. Room sizes range from compact singles to spacious quadruples. Request a room away from the street for a quieter stay. There are no balconies.

Breakfast is available for an extra charge (SEK 125) and offers a buffet with bread, pastries, fresh fruit, hot dishes, and vegan/gluten-free choices. It is served Monday-Friday 07:00-09:00 and Saturday-Sunday 07:00-10:00. During summer, breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace. There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel, but the surrounding area provides a range of dining choices within 300 metres, including Darmed Pasta, Punk Royale, and Pizzeria Ersta. A supermarket is also nearby for self-catering supplies. The three shared kitchenettes on the property allow guests to prepare simple meals.

The hotel grounds include a landscaped garden, outdoor furniture, a picnic area, and a terrace where breakfast is served in summer. From the front garden and the neighbouring Fjällgatan street, guests enjoy panoramic views of Stockholm's harbour and skyline. This is the main leisure offering; there is no swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, or other recreational facilities. The quiet setting and scenic outlook make it a pleasant place to unwind after exploring the city.
