HOTEL DAMRAK INN, Amsterdam

The hotel sits on Damrak, one of Amsterdam's busiest streets, providing immediate access to Central Station (5 min walk), Dam Square (5 min), Kalverstraat shopping (5 min), and the Anne Frank House (just over 10 min). A tram stop is only 200 metres away, making it easy to reach the museum district and other attractions. The immediate area is crowded with restaurants, shops, and snack bars. Noise from the street and early-morning recycling collection can be significant in front-facing rooms, while rear-facing rooms are noticeably quieter. The hotel is accessible directly from the airport by direct train to Amsterdam Centraal, then a short walk.

The hotel does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant or bar. A complimentary coffee and tea machine at the reception provides hot drinks throughout the day. Several dining options are within a 300-metre walk, including Gandhi Restaurant (Indian), Dolce & Gelato Bakery, Steakhouse de Markies, Halal Food with the H not A, Manneken Pis Amsterdam (fries), Burger Bar Kolksteeg, and Stock. Guests wanting a morning meal will need to plan a breakfast elsewhere. No in-room dining is available, and no food storage is provided in rooms due to the lack of mini-fridges.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk offers private check-in/check-out and can assist with basic requests. Free luggage storage is available both before check-in and after check-out, which is especially useful given the early check-out time. A safety deposit box is provided free of charge. Fax/photocopying services are available at no extra cost. Housekeeping is not automatic - rooms are cleaned only upon request, so guests should ask at reception if daily servicing or towel exchange is needed. Towels are provided in each room, but some may have stains; requesting replacements is straightforward. The hotel has 24-hour security with CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. No lift and no bicycle storage.
