DAS HOTEL IN MUENCHEN, Munich

The hotel sits on a lively street filled with restaurants, bars, and cafés, making it easy to find dining and entertainment steps away. Tram and U-Bahn stations are a few minutes' walk, providing direct connections to the main train station, airport, and exhibition grounds. Marienplatz is a 15- to 20-minute walk, while the broader city centre can be reached in 15-30 minutes on foot. For drivers, on-site parking costs €20 per day and accommodates only 5-8 cars-reservation is essential. Street parking is scarce, especially during events.

Room sizes and conditions vary significantly by category and even within the same category. Basic rooms are functional and small, suitable for short stays. Comfort rooms feature unique furniture, fabrics, and wooden flooring. Premium rooms are the most spacious, with large bathrooms and balconies in most units. Many rooms have sinks located in the bedroom rather than the bathroom, and double beds come with two separate covers. Some rooms open onto shared balconies. Noise from the street can be an issue; rooms facing the inner courtyard are quieter. No air conditioning is available-rooms rely on opening windows, which can let in street noise. Heating, soundproofing, and flat-screen TVs are standard.

Breakfast includes a cold buffet with items such as fresh fruit, kiwi, ham, yogurt, and cake, plus bread and pastries. Hot items like eggs or bacon are not offered. Breakfast times vary by day; on Sundays it starts at 8:00 am. The buffet area is small and can become crowded, especially on weekends, with limited replenishment. The hotel has no restaurant or bar. However, the surrounding Maxvorstadt street is lined with numerous restaurants, pizzerias, and cafés within a 5-minute walk, offering plenty of evening dining options.

The only on-site leisure amenities are a small garden and an outdoor terrace with furniture. For relaxation and recreation, guests can walk to the nearby English Garden (a large public park) or explore the many museums and galleries in the university district. The surrounding area is lively and pedestrian-friendly, making it easy to enjoy the local café culture and nightlife.
