The trendy Södermalm district, a 10-minute walk away, provides a wide selection of shopping, dining and nightlife. Stockholm Central Station is a 3-minute Metro ride, and the city's arena is about 25 minutes by subway. A bus from Arlanda Airport runs to the Central Station, from where it's a 20-minute walk or a short Metro ride to the hotel. The location is highly walkable for sightseeing, though the immediate area has limited food options until you reach Gamla Stan or Södermalm.

Rooms are compact and basic, with wooden furnishings, bed linen and a wardrobe. Most cabins have shared bathrooms (shower and toilet) in the hallway; these are cleaned regularly but can experience queues during peak times. Superior cabins include a private bathroom with shower. Some lake-view rooms provide good city views, while road-facing rooms can be noisy. Bunk beds are common, with top bunks that can be challenging to access. A few rooms are on a separate white boat, which some find less atmospheric. The boats have heating elements and extra portable heaters if needed, but no air conditioning; in hot weather rooms can become stuffy due to small windows. Noise levels are high - thin walls and heavy doors mean sounds from corridors and neighbouring cabins travel easily; light sleepers should bring earplugs. Beds are mostly comfortable, but thin mattresses are reported in some economy cabins. Rooms generally lack storage space for larger suitcases.

The on-board restaurant, set in the cosy reception area, offers lunch and dinner options featuring local and international cuisine. A bar and snack bar are also available, and the two sun terraces provide outdoor seating with lake views. Breakfast is a buffet served daily (Monday-Friday 07:30-10:00, weekends 08:00-10:30) at SEK 105-120 per person. The breakfast offers bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit, eggs, coffee, juice and cereal - a substantial start. For those who prefer eating out, multiple dining options are within a 5-10 minute walk, including Patricia (0.5 km) and several other restaurants in Gamla Stan and Södermalm.
