QUEEN'S HOTEL BY FIRST HOTELS, Stockholm

The hotel sits on a pedestrianised street lined with shops, restaurants, and cafés. Stockholm Central Station is a 10-minute walk away, and the Arlanda Express train reaches the airport in 20 minutes (public transport takes 40 minutes). By car, the airport is 45 minutes away; the cruise pier is 15 minutes. Gamla Stan (Old Town) and the Royal Castle are a few minutes by metro. Numerous dining options are within 0.5 km, including Limerick Pub, Pong Buffe, and Bistro Boheme. The area is busy during the day but quieter in the evenings.

The hotel offers double, triple, and family rooms. Family rooms are notably larger and include a mini fridge and electric kettle; other rooms can request a kettle. Bed sizes vary - the double bed is often against one wall, making access from both sides difficult for couples. Mattress firmness is mixed: some find them very soft, others comfortable. Rooms facing the street can be noisy from traffic and nearby restaurants; courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. There is no air conditioning - only fans are provided. Some rooms have reported issues with bathroom odours and old carpets, but daily housekeeping keeps them clean. Storage is limited in smaller rooms, with a wardrobe rail rather than drawers.

Queen's Hotel by First Hotels focuses on essential accommodation and does not offer on-site leisure facilities. For relaxation, guests can enjoy the lobby with its historical ambiance, free tea and coffee, and free use of an internet computer. The central location provides easy access to Stockholm's attractions, including walking tours, shopping, and dining. Public swimming pools and gyms are located within a short distance; staff can offer local recommendations.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and public areas, though connectivity in rooms can occasionally be inconsistent. The 24-hour reception allows flexible check-in and check-out. Luggage storage is free and secure in a lockable room. Daily housekeeping is included; laundry and dry cleaning are available for an additional charge. Meeting and banquet facilities can be arranged (fee applies). Parking is not on-site; the nearest public garage (Norra Latin) is 150 m away with rates from 395 SEK per night - reservation is not possible. Bicycles can be stored in the luggage room. The hotel has a lift, non-smoking policy, and CCTV for security. Accepted payments: American Express, Visa, Diners Club, MasterCard.
