HOTEL CORONA, Rome

Hotel Corona occupies a traditional building on a peaceful side street just around the corner from Rome's Opera House. It is ideally placed for public transport: Termini Railway Station and Repubblica Metro are both within a 5-minute walk, providing direct connections across the city and to both airports. The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps are all reachable in around 15-20 minutes on foot, while the surrounding area is filled with restaurants, cafés, and a small Carrefour market. For drivers, note that the hotel sits inside a Traffic Limited Zone (ZTL) active on weekdays until 18:00 and Saturdays until 16:00; paid public parking is available 300 metres away and must be reserved in advance.

Breakfast at Hotel Corona is a continental buffet served from 7:30 to 9:30 in a basement dining room (accessible via stairs only). It includes bread, cheese, ham, jam, boiled eggs, tinned fruit, croissants (pre-ordered the day before), coffee, and juice. The buffet is limited and can feel sparse when groups are present, but it provides a basic start to the day. Guests must select a breakfast time and a croissant type in advance. The hotel's restaurant, Antica Bohéme, is open Monday-Saturday for lunch (12:00-15:00) and dinner (19:00-22:30). It offers traditional local cuisine, with halal and vegetarian options, as well as wine and champagne at an additional charge. The surrounding streets are lined with numerous restaurants within a 2-minute walk, including Ristorante Alessio, La Matriciana, and Pizzeria Mediterranea.

Hotel Corona does not have a wellness centre, swimming pool, or gym. For leisure activities, the hotel can arrange paid walking tours, bike tours, temporary art gallery visits, and cooking classes (held off-site). The front desk can also organise scooter, bicycle, and car rentals, and can book museum tickets and city tours. The location itself puts most of Rome's historic landmarks within a 20-minute walk, making it easy to fill your days without additional planning.

Hotel Corona provides a 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff, express check-in/check-out, a concierge service, and a tour desk. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and in all rooms. Daily housekeeping is included, changing towels and making beds each day. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out, letting you explore Rome hands-free. A paid airport shuttle can be arranged (minimum 70 EUR; ask for pricing with your flight details), and paid airport drop-off/pick-up services are also available. Business facilities include fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet rooms for an extra charge. The property has a lift, is non-smoking throughout, and has a vending machine for drinks. Pets are allowed on request at no additional cost. Safety features include fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, security alarms, and key card access. A safety deposit box is available at a daily fee of 5 EUR. Accepted payment methods are American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, CartaSi, and UnionPay.
