The property is a 10-minute walk from San Giovanni Metro (Line A), which connects directly to Termini and the Vatican, and a 15-minute walk from Termini Station. Buses stop nearby, and a tram stop is across the road. Walking to the Colosseum takes about 25-30 minutes, and the Roman Forum is around 40 minutes on foot. The surrounding area is quieter than the city centre but has some graffitied streets; there is a supermarket, pharmacy, a 24-hour café, and several pizzerias within a few minutes' walk. The Basilica of Santa Croce is next door, and St. John Lateran Basilica is a short stroll through a park. The building also overlooks ancient Roman ruins and the Cistercian vegetable gardens.

All rooms come with air conditioning (reportedly effective in hot weather), a flat-screen TV, a fridge, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Towels and bed linen are provided. Bedding typically consists of a sheet and a wool blanket; no duvets are used. Some rooms have old iron-framed beds with very firm or thin mattresses, while others have two single beds pushed together. Noise levels vary - rooms under the roof terrace can hear chair sounds day and night; road-facing rooms pick up siren noise from the nearby hospital. Interior rooms are quieter. Toiletries may be supplied inconsistently. Some rooms lack natural light (small circular windows) and can feel dark. The older rooms across the basilica wing (e.g. rooms P11, P31, P111) are significantly more spartan and have poorer Wi-Fi. Rooms in the main building are generally larger and better maintained.

Breakfast costs €5 per person per day and is served on the rooftop terrace (in warmer months). The selection includes cereals, croissants, bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, cake, fruit juice, and tea/coffee. The buffet is staff-served - you queue and ask for items rather than helping yourself. Food is standard but adequate; the coffee is average. Packed breakfasts can be provided for early departures. There is no on-site restaurant, bar, or evening meal service. Nearby within a 2-minute walk are several cafés and pizzerias, including a 24-hour café across the street.

The rooftop terrace on the fourth floor offers panoramic views across Rome and is the property's standout leisure space. Outdoor furniture is provided, and it is open 24 hours. The terrace is also where breakfast is served. There are no other wellness or leisure facilities - no spa, pool, sauna, or gym. The hotel can help arrange visits to the adjacent basilica and monastery at reception.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout, including in rooms, though signal strength can be weaker in the older wing across the basilica. The 24-hour reception offers luggage storage, private check-in/out, a tour desk, concierge, and safety deposit boxes. Airport transfers are available for a fee and can be booked at reception. Daily housekeeping is provided free of charge, though some inconsistency with towel and soap replacement has been noted.
