The hotel sits in a quiet residential pocket of Södermalm, an area known for its boutiques, galleries, and many restaurants. Zinkensdamm metro station is a 3-minute walk, providing direct access to Stockholm city centre and the Old Town in about 7 minutes. Tantolunden Park, with a small beach, is 500 m away. Many restaurants and bars are within a 5 to 10-minute walk. The neighbourhood is considered safe and pleasant for walking. Airport connections: take the metro to T-Centralen and then the Arlanda Express or a flygbuss; the walk to Central Station takes around 45 minutes along the water. The surrounding streets have shops and bakeries, and a large supermarket is a few blocks away.

Rooms are individually decorated, each with a private bathroom featuring tiled stone walls and a shower, plus a hairdryer. Amenities include heating, parquet floors, and a flat-screen TV. Basic rooms (standard double) can be very small, with limited luggage space. More spacious options include superior doubles and rooms with four-poster beds. Some rooms are in the basement or attic; attic rooms have sloped ceilings. Rooms on the ground floor or near the breakfast area may be audible; some rooms can hear the metro. Road-facing rooms may be noisier. Bathrooms in smaller rooms can be very compact, and some are set up with the washbasin in the room itself. No air conditioning, but heating is available; some rooms have a portable fan. All rooms have windows. Iron and ironing board are available from reception. Some superior rooms have separate toilet and shower rooms. No electric kettle or fridge in rooms.

Breakfast is a continental buffet with bread, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fresh fruit, and gluten-free options. The coffee and juice are part of the buffet. Breakfast is served in the atmospheric basement vault. In summer, an outdoor terrace in the garden is also available. Breakfast is included in the room rate. For other meals, the hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but a wine/champagne service with additional charge is available. The surrounding streets have numerous restaurants, cafes, and bakeries within a short walk.
