EVELIA HOTELS, Nice

The hotel sits on Rue Thiers, a central street that puts the train station, the Jean Médecin shopping street (750 m), and the Promenade du Paillon (2 km) within walking distance. Nice Old Town is 2 km, easily reachable on foot or by tram. A bus stop is directly outside the hotel, with a tram stop nearby, and Nice Airport is 6 km away. The surrounding area offers many patisseries, supermarkets, and cafes, making it practical for self-catering and quick meals. While the immediate street can be busy and less atmospheric at night, the central location is ideal for travellers prioritizing walkable access to transport and the seafront.

Room types range from single to triple, with twin beds available on request. All units feature a private bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries (in dispensers). Some rooms face the street and can be noisy, particularly at night; rooms facing the inner courtyard are significantly quieter. The economy double room is the smallest, and some rooms lack a wardrobe or closet, only offering hooks. The bathrooms have a wet-room design with no separate shower enclosure, which may cause the floor to get wet. The hotel is older and basic in style, with carpeted floors and dated furnishings. It is best suited for short, practical stays or for those who prioritise location over modern decor and space.

The breakfast offering is a simple continental buffet with bread, a croissant, and a hot drink. The property also has a vending machine for drinks and a coffee machine offering coffee for €1. For a wider selection, numerous restaurants, bars, and shops are within a short walk, including Le Barachois, New Bharati, and The Frenchy Burger, all within 0.5 km. Guests wanting a fuller morning meal or variety for lunch and dinner have plenty of nearby options.

For relaxation and recreation, the Promenade des Anglais and the beach are a 10-minute walk away, and the Promenade du Paillon park is 2 km. The property offers a shared lounge/TV area for downtime.

The hotel provides express check-in/check-out, a concierge service, and a shared lounge. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, and a safety deposit box (request at reception). A vending machine with drinks is available, and a coffee machine provides coffee for €1. Free luggage storage is offered both before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping is included, though some rooms may not have a safe initially. The property does not have an elevator, so staff often assist with luggage.
